Description: 

The project required coordination with the cities of Seal Beach, Long Beach, Caltrans, SCAG, and FHWA. The existing bridge serves as a by-pass route for Pacific Coast Highway for local residents. It was reconstructed in 1963. The bridge was designed as a seven span timber deck bridge. The new bridge will be constructed as a three span with a concrete box-girder spans.
